Wine of Alpilles
Our viticultural Provence, which produces good wine of alpilles, involving four departments: Bouches-du-Rhone, Var, Alpes Maritimes and the Alpes de Haute Provence, off northern Rhone Valley.
The area covered with vines covers 65000 hectares that would allow many wine alpilles.
The sunshine of this vast region is 3000 hours per year. The rains are rare but violent. The terrain is relatively tormented.
The vines start from the Mediterranean shore and deploy to the hinterland to a depth of 50 kilometers. The diversity of soils and soil produces wines of alpilles who have little similarities between them.
The mild climates of the sea had nothing to do with the tougher of the High Country.
Our Provence, which owns the land conducive to quality wine is still struggling with the heat, which, if it allows an earlier harvest, is unfavourable to the vinification of Rose who asks the opposite of freshness to thrive.
